FaceTime is an SC Award Finalist in US and Europe

FaceTime Communications announced today that it has been selected as a finalist in the 2009 SC Magazine Awards both in the US and in Europe. FaceTime's Unified Gateway Appliance (USG) is short-listed for Security Product of the Year in Europe, and IMAuditor has been chosen as a finalist for Best Instant Messaging Security Product in US. Both awards ceremonies will be held in April, 2009.
SC Magazine, the world's largest dedicated IT security publication, awarded the USG a coveted 5 stars in its November 2008 review, concluding that "You will however, be hard-pushed to find a security appliance that can offer the same level of controls over IM and P2P and combine these with excellent web content filtering and spyware protection."

Unified Security Gateway (USG) is a secure Web gateway appliance purpose-built for the new Internet. USG 2.0 provides a single point of control for managing Web access, preventing malware, controlling Web 2.0 applications and managing information leakage in corporate networks. IT managers can detect and control more than 1,400 Web 2.0 and real-time applications with the same granular policies they have come to expect from dedicated URL filtering solutions.
IMAuditor allows companies to reap the benefits of collaboration and productivity associated with real-time communications, while protecting the enterprise network from inbound malware, outbound data leakage and insuring corporate and regulatory compliance. In addition to proven inbound malware protection, the newest version of IMAuditor detects and scans message communications as well as file transfer content in real-time, checking for inbound malicious URLs as well as flagging potential confidential data before it leaves the network.
The SC Magazine Awards US 2009 will be announced at a ceremony held April 21, 2009 at the Hilton San Francisco, in conjunction with the RSA Conference. The SC magazine Awards Europe 2009 will take place at the Hurlingham Club, Ranelagh Gardens, UK on Tuesday 28 April 2009.
